we love the planet earth.

yesterday we finally got to sleep in - such a relief from the rest of the week. we had blueberry pancakes for breakfast (which were absolutely wonderful), and then got ready to go to the byu basketball game against the university of new mexico. i was fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time at work to pick up a voucher for 6 tickets to various byu basketball games (something to do with the museum spending a lot of money at the byu bookstore and getting rewarded...) so we've got tickets to the next three men's basketball games. eric is thrilled.

we got all decked out in our byu shirts, cheered loud at the game, and byu won 83-66, even with the backups playing for a good portion of the second half of the game. after the game we went to cafe rio in orem with eric's parents, and we got pork salads. a song or something needs to be dedicated to these porks salads - they are that amazing. here's a little picture to make everyone jealous who isn't able to have one on a regular basis:

yum.

afterwards, we went and watched planet earth with mark, lindsay, mike, and natalie and marveled at the creations of the earth - specifically those of the grasslands and some of the jungles...at least until the dvd player we were using stopped working and we were no longer able to watch budding plants on the jungle floor take advantage of the sunlight provided after a large tree fell to the ground. but it was all pretty amazing.

the first post!

we (mostly i) decided to join the ranks of blogging families here on the internet. we don't have any kids or anything, so it may not be as exciting as other blogs, but we'll try our best to make our day-to-day lives more or less interesting.

right now we're living in provo. honestly i think we can't wait to leave - at least i know that's the case for me. we'll see what happens when we graduate. we have two cats, paris and sydney, and they're basically like our children - they keep us busy enough anyway.

here's a picture of them when they were littler:

anyway. hopefully we'll have lots of exciting things to post soon.
